Sarayu Khajjayam

Sarayu Khajjayam is a senior at Panther Creek High School and an avid runner at her school Varsity girls Cross Country and Track team. Outside of school, Sarayu is President of DOC NC, a local student led non-profit where she has worked in coordination with local town leaders in their sustainability initiatives. She works to spread awareness about the environmental issues through events in their community and their social media outreach. Through this past year, in hopes to pursue medicine in the future, she has worked as part of a team in an international Public Health Nigeran Internship program working with a team to educate and diagnose a certain public health disease and create a solution. Similarly she has also participated in a Heart for Homeless organization, creating a healthcare resource guide for the citizens of Ashville. Aside from extracurriculars, you will find her interests in reading, jamming out to a good playlist, or out on a jog in her neighborhood.
