Krishma is a sophomore at UNC Charlotte studying Political Science and International Studies; quite often you can find her lounging on the hammocks in front of the library or hunkered away on the bottom floor of the Student Union working on some all-nighter. She is an avid fan of Avatar (The Last Airbender not the blue people movie). While she’s not writing her fifth paper of the week, she’s traveling with UNCC’s Model UN team to Washington D.C or Chicago to compete. On-campus, she’s fundraising for various philanthropic causes with her Asian-interest sorority (Delta Phi Lambda) and working with UNCC’s Diversified Greek Council to create a more inclusive and welcoming atmosphere at Charlotte. Her love of writing comes from years of Scholastic Books Fairs and very encouraging creative writing teachers- one of which inspired her to revive her high school’s literary magazine. Still compelled by that passion for writing, Krishma has written for the student paper before transitioning to Midas Magazine as Writing Director.
