Pooja Coimbatore

I’m a sophomore at Raleigh Charter who has always been passionate about writing. Growing up, writing has been a way to express my thoughts, needs, dreams, and desires, and I work to use my writing as a tool to strengthen my community. As a volunteer with Wake County Libraries’ “Teen Leadership Council,” I work on events dedicated to combining learning with interactivity such as crafts and reading for kids. I am dedicated to helping kids of all ages learn skills and expression through words, whether written or spoken. I’ve been an avid piano player for eight years as well, and I have always conveyed my emotions through playing pieces, writing and composing songs, and singing!
